We are community-driven. We are currently supported by volunteers. We're moving fast to open because of the abundant community drive, skills, and knowledge to support the creation of Creative Reuse Montana. If you like volunteering for the Craft Supply Swap, come see us over the winter! We have a place for you!

We are fueled by donations of all kinds: time, supplies, cash, furniture, skills…. Volunteers--especially now as we are getting started--are the reason the Craft Supply Swap and Creative Reuse Montana are able to continue. We are community-led, community-driven, and community-supported. Volunteering in ways that are big and small allows us to stabilize the foundation for making this happen.

We want folks involved to be able to contribute to our community in the ways that are right for them; we are currently entirely volunteer-run. Your help now means we can find the ways to pay expenses and people in a sustainable way so we can be here to support our community for years to come.

Drop-in Volunteer Events

None currently scheduled. We will schedule sessions for needlepoint, quilting, building simple shelving, and some easy desk shifts while we’re open. In February we are pausing our current volunteer sort and stock socials to open up more time for strategy. Fill out the form to let us know you are interested!

Current Needs

Desk Volunteers - meet some fun people, connect over crafts, make sales (that pay our rent!), receive donations
Share your knowledge of materials
- Help sort and stock supplies. Make supplies easy to navigate so they find their next home. Help stock the store so folks can start or finish their next project!
- Kit Making! We provide the materials, you put them together for someone to start a project. We are looking for folks to assemble all of the pieces needed for embroidery, quilting, knitting, and other sewing kits!
- Plan community events with instructors
Build Shelves - we always need better shelving!
Media
- Photography / Videos - take photos of the shop, volunteers, and more to help us share our store
- Social Media - Instagram, Facebook (tag us!)
- Email - Mailchimp
Craft Supply Swap - all kinds of volunteering!
Admin
- Bookkeeping
- Grant writing
- We are forming advisory committees for Creative Reuse Montana and the Craft Supply Swap.
